Product Description

Bayonet heating element  is constructed using several refractory ceramic blocks assembled together to the required length. The Nichrome wire heating element is inserted into the ceramic blocks, with a terminal block at one end.

This bayonet   assembly is then inserted into  a pre-assembled special protection tube, when used in liquid immersion and gas application.  However, bayonet  heaters can also be used in direct air-heating application without the protection tube.

Offers a large area to heat liquids or semi-solid materials like wax, fats, oil and bitumen.

Suitable for indirect heating of gases and liquids, where it is inserted into a pocket or protection tube in the process tank, wherein, it can be repaired or replaced without draining the process tank.

Specification

All bayonet heaters are custom-made, and the power ratings are according to the length of the bayonet  shown in the table below .

Both Ø29mm and Ø32mm bayonet will fit into a 1 ½ inch (Ø38mm) metal protection sheath.

The  Ø45mm bayonet  will fit into a 2 inch (Ø51.8mm) metal protection sheath.

Installation

As per customer requirement, the bayonet  heater can be supplied with suitable mildsteel or stainless steel sheath pocket, and mounting flanges , either 1 ½ “ BSP or 2” BSP. It is suitable for both horizontal and vertical installation.
